Looking for an answer and hope that someone on this thread can help.

There are repeated reports that the Japanese government wants to drive the Nikkei over 18000 before FY end next week. Any Japanese experts here who can explain how are they going to accomplish this and what are they trying to accomplish? If everyone know this is their objective, what would happen April 1?

Thanks in advance.

Ramsey

"TOKYO, March 26 (Reuters) - Tokyo stocks rose more than two percent in early morning trade on Thursday on the expectation the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) will announce the outline of a large economic stimulus package later in the afternoon and speculation of buying from public funds. "

Will be an interesting day today.
