Albert - Please take this as constructive criticism. You are certainly entitled to your investment stance and to defend it. Here's my take on your posts.

It's hard for me to see why you're so he-he-he happy. In my view AMD has been a poor investment for long term investors - unless you caught it at one of it's periodic lows or had perfect timing with a derivative. It has a penchant for misteps that makes longterm investors scared. K5 screwup. K6 yield screwup. A business plan from hell. Management that has been less than candid. They now have to execute perfectly with a financial gun to their head as they take on debt. The only things that I can see to recommend AMD are:

1) Having performed so poorly they are selling close to their breakup value (above it but at least close) so not too much downside potential (though if they screw up again things could get dicey).
2) IF (and it's a sizable if) they solve most of their problems in time they have upside potential.

I personally have had the value of my holdings in Intel multiplied by about 65 since 1983 so my bias is on the table. It's been a thrill ride now and then, but absolutely serene compared to AMD. We can certainly disagree about the merits of various investments. That's fine and constructive since I can learn and you can learn. Taunting and belittling is a whole other thing.

Your continued he-he-he comments are fairly scary. The belittling behaviour is, in my view, rather childish. Talk about the merits of an investment is fine. Belittling is beneath an adult. Name calling and taunting is for five year olds. Assertions that others do it and you are just responding in kind wears real thin and sounds like a five year old who whines, "he hit me first". Yes, Paul is sharp-tongued, but he also provides a wealth of hard information (and I tend to agree with almost all his opinions on Intel's prospects). When you provide real information, I read your posts carefully too. But when you (or anyone) taunt, defame or belittle you lower yourself. Bigtime. A truce would go a long way towards improving the quality of the posts.

Best regards and good investing,
Burt

Well, you have to admit that Paul's memory is pretty good. Your underware was way before we had a spell checker. And you were questioning his memory. ;)
