I saw your move, sighed in satisfaction, then moved to my board, surveying the cartoon pieces. Then shock, disbelief, denial. What had I done? I now saw I was doomed! How pitiful must my arrogance have appeared when, last post, I offered you resignation. How you must have cackled gleefully that I was stumbling so blindly into your devious trap! Tear trickling down my cheek, I slowly moved my hand toward the clownish king, prepared to set him sadly on his side. Then I realized my kids had moved some of the pieces around. Whew! What a relief. I admire your courage, my friend, but remember that the battle of attrition was the downfall of another named Lee. Struggle on, mon general! BxP
