Phil, If Bumbat is actually throwing off cash (albeit small) then MGR won't have to overcontribute. As I understood one of Dr. Webbs previous posts... the 51% of any profits that would normally accrue to its partner has been used to reduce the partners overdue obligations.

How long anyone at MGR knew of its partners impending decision to sell its interest is not detailed in the release. This release could be read quite positively. Who wants a deadbeat partner? Maybe this will allow MGR to increase its ownership? Maybe apply pressure on government for help in settlement? Maybe get some cash thats due them?

The stock was up $.02 yesterday. My guess is that the market sees closing the mine, if thats whats in the cards, (which I doubt) as a positive. Of course it "could" just be a bounce from higher gold prices.

Never a dull moment,

Dave
