Directions to TASA....

Tom,

I've posted the directions on the Napeague web site - just follow the hypertext on the "front page".

The location that "bigyellow" gives is about a mile north and west of where TASA really is located. If you set the "Zoom" size to one mile, this will give you a map of the actual area, and it even identifies Hardscrabble Road. If you "zoom" in from that map,and drop down by clicking the "S Arrow", you should find Fields Lane and then be able to see the general location of TASA (but no red X to mark the spot).

A word of warning - Fields Lane becomes a gravel road within a short distance of the turnoff from Hardscrabble Road, and you may think that you are dropping off of the ends of the earth, but keep going... you are on the right road.

I know that the other location, marked by the "red X" on the bigyellow map is incorrect. I used to fish the East Branch of the Croton at Brewster, and when I saw that general location, I knew that they were too far north! In fact, I fished it last September after I left TASA; it has gone down hill badly but I did get one respectable trout (on a #16 Sulphur, if I remember correctly...)
