Puck,

Thanks for the insight. I think you're right about day traders closing out their positions so as not to hold them overnight. (BTW Jim, if I were to short the stock, I'd pick the 1st hour of trading; BTIM seems to be driven up in the 1st hour of the day. I wouldn't want to drive the price down while I shorted.)

This stock & thread continues to fascinate me. (Again, the two large, sharply divided, passionate camps; the mistrust between the two, the underlying objective data and the opposite interpretations.) I'm finding that there are other controversial stocks out there, but here the objective truth is based more in clear-cut science than in the relative vagueness of business plans.

There is supposed to be a segment tonite on NPR's (National Public Radio's) "Marketplace" on biotechs with dubious stock promotion. Should be interesting -- "Marketplace" is always very intelligent, well-produced, and enjoyable.

I kind of regret covering my short position so early. I did it because I may have to pay a large tax bill this year, and I didn't want any complications near April 15. (I have been moving to an ultra long-term buy-and-hold strategy, with small short-term trading just for fun.)
