Is that a SEC rule or just the way it's done?

Anyone have a good excell spreadsheet?

If anyone has and is willing to share a good excell spreadsheet for tracking purchases and sells of stocks I would sure appreciate having a copy. I have excell but not very familiar with writing the spreadsheets. What I need is one that would track daytrades, both LONGS and SHOETS and keep a running profit/loss column based on number of shares purchased.

Anything along these lines would be most helpful.
