Dave, et al:

Try playing the April 35 VNTV calls. They can be had this AM for under 1 - around 3/4 or 15/16. There's some strong rumors again about PSFT sniffing around VNTV, and they're having a solid quarter, anyway. I think you'll see VNTV run up to 37 - 38 before these calls expire, meaning you get 3 out of them, for a 3 - 4X return in a month. The stock could run to 39, giving the option around 4+ - for a 5X return.

I did this last month with March 30's - bought at 9/16, sold 3 weeks later at 5 for a 9X return.

Hi TD:

Thanks for the summary. This is in fact public knowledge, and has been discussed in investor calls. Its valuable to people reading these posts to have confirmation from a reliable source outside the company. Besides, my name might not really be Kevin Rose (there seems to be a lot of suspicious people on these threads).

re: people leaving SCOP

I've got a somewhat limited sample, but I have noticed more available SCOP resumes in the past couple of months. Also, there has been some very aggressive headhunters calling us recruiting for SCOP positions, including an Engineering Director for their Field Service product (I understand from an SI post that the SCOP fellow left, for Oracle? If so, its funny; I see A LOT of Oracle resumes. But I understand they have quite a growing ex-SCOP enclave there.)

We sometimes don't see all the SCOP resumes that might be on the street because of the difference in locale. People who work for SCOP are generally from the East Bay or even North Bay, and its kind of a long commute down here to the valley.

re: the turnover. I wonder how much SEBL projected. I know that acquisitions I was involved in (I've been bought twice), the acquirer would identify the 'key people' and overcompensate them. If the key people stay, they usually hold most of the remaining people, at least for a time. Losing key people right off the bat is usually a bad sign. Time will tell.

Good hunting.
