Someone mentioned that SI updates all the charts up to around 5 ET, so that's another thing which would be slowing the servers down. At any rate, San Jose public switching networks are notoriously overloaded, particularly in the early evening PST (due to internet usage). But the phone companies aren't real aggressive at doing more than trying to keep one step ahead of the necessary hardware. Between overloaded routers/switches/servers, the weak links are troublesome.
