Hello Rick,

Thanks for sharing your experience in the timing for exercising in-the-money option.

Which makes me think a bit further... I wonder what happens if the call option is deep in the money (say $2) and the holder forgets to call the broker to exercise the option to buy the stock. Would the option also expire worthless? Mmmm interesting. Maybe there is a lucrative arbitrage business somewhere that looks after the people who forget such things for a cut.
