****NEWS RELEASE**** Chandeleur Bay Production Company - North Fork diamond drilling begins Chandeleur Bay Production Company CYJShares issued 241354091998-04-06 close $0.17Tuesday Apr 7 1998Mr William McKee reports Diamond drilling will begin on the company's North Fork mine which is in the northern California mother lode gold belt, Alleghany mining district, Sierra County, California. The first drill location will be from underground at the 350 ft point along the old North Fork (13 degree) decline which accesses 6,000 ft of underground workings. The drilling program will target the east-dipping gold bearing lode quartz veins, the Bald Mountain tertiary gold gravel channel, from which gold nuggets weighing over 100 oz have been recovered in the past, and the amethyst vein which has been mined on the 16 to 1 property and appears to enter the company's property along strike with the North Fork claims. Rehabilitation of the remaining 13 degree decline will continue since, at a lower point it is ideally located to explore both the Bald Mountain tertiary gold bearing gravel channels as well as the nine east-dipping quartz veins reported in the 1930s. Two of these veins are reported to be 40 ft wide within an 800 ft width and structurally occur at the nose of a fold. Gold values have been reported on both the east and west dipping structures. An additional target will be an undeveloped zone which, according to historical data, is reported to contain 100,000 tons grading 0.75 oz/t gold, occurring on three levels of the mine. The company will use a recently developed computer generated three dimensional model of the North Fork mine to enhance the exploration and development of this project.
