Mike and everyone, here's an interesting biotech link. Do you
know anything about "Recombinant Capital", who put out this mag?

signalsmag.com

(Found this via a link from Henry N. on the Ligand thread.)

The neuro articles may have some relevance to Neurogen... interesting
background, in any case.

This rally finds me out of PCYC (Pharmacyclics)... did you ever
take a look at that one? Stock is continuing to act strong (what isn't, especially if I sold it?)
and they are at a good stage (late preclinical trials). Have
traded out of NRGN of and MCDE, but am back in. Still hanging onto
Ligand, and will buy CEGE at 5 (if possible). I'd be interested in
your opinion on Microcide (MCDE) as well... antimicrobials, earlier
stage company perhaps than you usually like. The same could be
perhaps said for ARIA (Ariad Pharmaceuticals), which manages a genomics
lab for Hoechst/Marion Roussel; I will buy around 4 if it doesn't
escape first.

They also have a piece about Henry Niman's Ligand website...

signalsmag.com

As you can see, I've decided to become a bit more web-anonymous;
I'm of two minds about this but decided, for reasons similar to
MMV's I think, that I want a bit more privacy
at least for awhile.

Man, the open was scary.... I've raised lots of cash but
I'm feeling like I ought to get out
of *everything* in a few days.... maybe buy some more BEARX -g-.

Cheers,

Howard

mike -
what do you make of the msft announce?
10% - does that warrant a press call, and not suspending trading during the call? it is not as if they are new at this. whole thing seems fishy - but what were they trying to accomplish - other than ramp the market one more time.

MB,

Sorry if you've given your latest opinion on GEMS recently, but I haven't been on for a bit. Prospects still look good? Thanks.
