Actually, I will do both, if that makes any sense. I will buying and reselling up to 8k shares in 2-5k increments as the market moves. With this type of position, though, my intent is to hold for the mid-term until I reach or exceed the strike price. A lot of things will influence that - whether the DEC deal goes through with the financial impact it should have, whether forthcoming product announcements are made as scheduled, and timed correctly, etc. For the most part, I do plan to have the entire holding at and through earnings though. But remember, this isn't an earnings play per se.

Just saw this on NETM

NETMANAGE INC (NETM) 4 13/16 +1 7/32. The trading in NETM shares have been unusually calm today, considering the company's announcment that Intel selected NETM as the supplier of networking software that gives businesses access to "Always On/Dynamic ISDN" (AO/DI) from standard personal computers in homes or other remote locations. The networking software configures personal computers for Internet access over the new AO/DI standard and ISDN hardware designed by ITK Telecommunications of Chelmsford, Massachusetts. The software works by allowing Internet connections to alternate between two ISDN channels. According to NETM, AO/DI has been advanced by The Vendors' ISDN Association Inc. as a means to reduce congestion on networks operated by Internet service providers and local telephone companies by allowing users to establish a constant Internet connection without incurring extra dial-up costs. After opening at 4 3/16, NETM shares have risen steadily. This activity is unusual in that when a small-cap company announces that it is doing a deal with Intel, the stock typically spikes at the open, continues to soar over the first few hours of trading, begins to retreat mid-day on profit-taking and rallies into the close. However, NETM shares have steadily moved higher throughout the session, with little volatility and no signs of fast-money heading for the exits. This type of action indicates that there is a good proportion of long-term investors accumulating the shares today. which suggests that this play should continue to have legs through tomorrow morning -- at the very least..
