Well, there was lot's of response from the Datek thread to the effect that I'm full of it. If that's true, I'm appalled, not only that this kind of thievery passes for the norm but also that that other Spots fellow, whoever he is, could have posted such drivel. <ggg> Yep, as soon as I sent my post to you I reflected that I'd probably live with it too to get those confirms and updates. I've never personally paid a dime of margin to Datek, but I will eventually and I want a fair shake when the time comes. However, I also like Yamner a lot (Must go check their margin policies for shorts more carefully!), and I even think the commissions are worth it. I just want to be able to trade on my own in a vacuum with NOBODY else to blame for certain kinds of things. Like screwing up quietly, for instance. Sort of the financial version of the treadmill in my basement where I can carry out my pitiful excuse for exercise in private. Nobody knows but me how much or how little of value goes on there... <heh-heh>.
