What time do you think we can expect an announcement from the Board of Directors?

Sorry for not responding sooner, but I really have no idea. It seems odd to me that people expect the announcement to be made immediately following the BOD meeting. I'm assuming that the BOD is pitching Jobs today, and that his answer isn't required immediately. (The Business Week article talked about a "deadline," but no one knows what it is). So even if Jobs decides to take the post, we may not know for weeks. And, of course, if he turns it down, we may not know who the alternative is for weeks. I would put the annual meeting on 4/22 as the outer limit.

Of course, I would love to be wrong, and wake up to the annoucement tomorrow.

This paragraph at the bottom of the Reuters story was reassuring, at least:

''We will make the announcement of the CEO when the CEO is actually hired and we will do so on a timely basis,'' the
spokeswoman said.
