Brad,

Duplicate trades are actually fairly common among a lot of BB stocks.
I think it may be a situation where the first trade was between the buyer and their broker, and the second trade is between that broker and a market maker. I may be wrong about this, but I have seen it quite a bit with a lot of different stocks.

Brian

After talking with a trader I suspect that the market makers are crossing the stock much of the time. Back to back trades at the ask are very often shorts...but who would short at this level? It would be very interesting if everyone that bought any stock during the time frame of the time and sales posted, would check them to see if a like trade went across at the same time as theirs did. Or if their trade seemed to trade by itself without a cross trade.

I wonder how may people are playing this stock that are not connected to SI directly or indirectly. It would be interesting to see a list of all SI verifiable BANY buys/sells with a time stamp to check against the sheet and see if the verifiable trades have the same pattern as the rest.
