Bill, I don't have a clue, but about Sheila, tell that John H.
guy to go to hell. She did nothing wrong and we don't need his
crap. Rock the lump already has established a big pile here.

I am not saying they are selling out of all product.....they get lots in at a time....take for example the external zip parallel....they have 24,000 on order and 12,000 instock....but that changes daily...if they consider 12,000 to be more than 4 weeks worth they wount count toward rev......i think you see this more in the disks from what i see......they always have a huge base of disks........then again it could be that dell and the rest have more than 4 weeks worth.....or it could be at the retail channel(on the shelves)...but someone is buying this stuff....a lot goes out of miami as well, which is for export only.......hope that helps

David;

To figure out where the inventory build up is going to probably have to wait for the conference call. There are several different products that can be building up: Zip; Zipplus; Jaz; Jaz2; Ditto; Dittomax. These could also be building up in different channels: OEM; retail; Asia; Europe or US markets.

My personal feeling is that the build up is at OEM level because of box makers trying to dump products. INTC will be lowering prices on chips drastically in May and coming out with the 400 and 450 mhz processors. Compaq and others don't want to be stuck with and excess of 200 and 233 mhz machines when this happens. Dell will be hurt the least when this happens because of the BTO system they use.
