LONGon DELL:
10318 April 65 calls (dlqdm's) traded today, about 3300 near the close. Somebody is pacing a rather large bet that Dell is
going to end up higher than 69 by expiration date.

Congradulation To all who are long DELL

I have been proven wrong again by the great almighty DELL.
It looks like the sky is not the limit today.
Rejoyce in the buying frenzy, The shorts are on the run.
The Bears are going back into hibernation on this one.

BTW,
Did anybody notice the massive deceleration in MSFT's growth rate ?
Who cares, they are beating estimates now buy the stock.
Is it important that this looks to be the best Growth of 1998 ? No, MSFT is conservative and always cries wolf on future earnings.

All hail to the market :)

Jim

LONGonDELL,
Looks like our debate has been answered to an extent.
The Dell workstation price w/dual P II 333's was cut by about $820.
that works to $410 /processor on a $200 price cut.
Figure there is come other component cutting in there too, so lets say $300 / CPU, and the rest on other stuff.

Looks like margins are targeted to stay about the same.
I think that is what we both were expecting to see happen. Well know we know.

I wonder if the analyst had these price cuts in their EPS models at the beginning of the quarter ?
