I think Starr might be getting some "advise" to end the investigation fast. Clinton's popularity has never been any higher -- in no small measure based upon the impression (and I quote the Journal here) that he's larger than life -- like Kennedy. It seems sometimes we actually want to see our leaders act this way.

MSFT just preannounced the Q. Looks like they will come in 10% above estimates. .48 vs .44, they do say it should be the high earnings for the calendar year, as they are "cautious" about PC growth. This'll probably send tech stocks (and the market) even higher tomorrow. This is what I meant by saying bad news is good. Good news is better.
