I will sell half my position as well, but at 14. At that point I will have 2x my original investment and can then ride on stock that basically has a cost basis of zero.

Doc,

I have a different perspective and don't think it's panic buying at all. Someone is accumulating shares. We should know soon enough. My contention remains that old trading pattern is no longer valid. It will be interesting to hear what Mr. Flick has to say about today's action?

Still, respect your decision.

Stu

Doc Stone,
I understand taking a profit;everyone has their own agenda. I personally, have a difficult time trading TAVA, and want to add to my position as funds permit. I'm currently 50/50 margin-cash.
I watch the friggin monitor all day long and hopefully will be able to dump some if I should need to, but my inclination right now is to buy. The story is just beginning to get out-IMHO.
Our new baby will be coming on Thursday-induction b/c of OB's spring break conflicts. How's that for a medical indication!! Thanks for your concern/thoughts.
Looking forward to Tim's analysis this PM.
Regards,
Brice

Can't fault anyone for wanting to take profits. It's good money management, especially when you have had a big run like this and TAVA becomes too large a percentage of your portfolio. Also, nothing goes straight up forever.

JMHO: However, I do not believe the run is over and I will not be taking profits anytime soon. There are enough new buyers to absorb moderate profit taking. The MO on this stock has been to buy and hold. As CK found out, this isn't an easy stock to time or trade. You inevitably wind up buying back at a higher price.

Keep in mind this move has been done without any news AND we are only now just starting to scratch the surface of the embedded chip problem. As awareness rises, so will TAVA's stock price. JMHO
