Hawk ... I've missed a lot of this positive market move because if the market discounts 6 months ahead I believe we should be lower now than at the beginning of the year !!. I decided that anyone with half a brain can be successful in this market ... but if you use a full one you're going to lose out !!....(okay, its sour grapes!), thats why the mm's are playing catch-up with the market ... they are advised by their economists and can see the bad news ahead but the markets are driving them to invest !. This is not a good or sound scenario ... sure scares me!!. I maintain that as soon as the mm's have a decent yearly gain figure, they will sell the market out and it will drop like a bomb. If they can pull out early and get the market down it will bring up their comparative average and make them look real good after their slow start. People sure have a short memory after last autumns fall !!. Anyways ... good luck ... did I just hear something about Microsoft saying they will be beating earnings this quarter ?!. Not a good time to be short tech I guess!
Good luck again!
Stephen

Hawk .. I forgot to mention, if you think that AOL is a dog of a company, I've lost money shorting Cymer, Micron and 3com. The last two are ...REAL dogs ... but timing the market is not one of my better points ... and thats all that counts given the way people and analysts react to reality sometimes !!
