Barry, The 1998 movie of the year "Titanic" should be an alarm bell to the investing public. The ship was unsinkable so they ignored the icebergs and actually sped up when they approached them. Sounds a lot like the stock market. Listen to the latest mutual fund commercials where they state that they will protect your capital and provide your retirement funds, all you have to do is invest with us and everything will be fine. We got rid of those nasty market corrections, we are unsinkable.

The U.S. selling off strategic oil stocks at these levels when there is supposedly a surplus is weird and should be investigated. Who gave the approval and why?

In today's WSJ the chief economist of Merrill Lynch stated that higher oil prices would not affect the U.S. economy because inflation was dead. Does he really believe that anyone is naive enough to agree with this garbage. If inflation is dead, why are the brokerage houses going back into gold. Give me a break.

Terry,
