Mile High, the link you posted worked just fine. I understand your point. My previous post was supposed to be a mild joke, as evidenced
by <gg>. (g means grin, vbg means very big grin).

By the way, if you check mark the "preview" box at the bottom of
a reply, you get a chance of testing a posted URL before anyone
else sees it.

Mile High,>. . .there are many ways to look at things...The worst case scenario is if you bought last Fall at $52 = OUCH!! I will try and post a link ( I am not good at this so let's see if it works)...The link will explain my thoughts...But bottom line, the market has many stocks breaking previous 52 week highs and even moving forward from there...AMAT doing this...NOPE! Before everyone goes on the attack, because I know you will say that AMAT has returned a compounded rate of return of probably +25%, far exceeding the Dow or stocks in general, and you are right....But has everyone held this stock for that particular time period?! So again, check out my link, and like I said before, it all depends on when you bought and sold.<

Probably, most of us on this site would agree with your points. However, the potential for a tremendous gain still is ahead even for those who purchased up to $53-$54 post split. However, the key is patience during the future wait for 12 months. The return, IMO, will be about 100%. Not bad for a two year period! What other stock can you get such a return. If I would have purchased at $54 I would just get away from watching the stock and accept the realization that the stock will come to me.

Naturally, if you bought lower the return would even better.

Just my $.02.
