Brian
any good news and we will have such a nice short squeeze that would really move the stock in a very short period of time.

Brain Albert, Those shorts in AMD are there as an arbitrage for AMD financing package which will undoubtly have significant dilution to present stockholders. Try not to kill the messenger. It is another hurdel AMD has to over come. Lenders know that AMD is vonerable and will exploite what ever they can from AMD in exchange for financing. they know without it AMD faces major cut backs in operations across the board. So the Shylarks will get there pound of flesh right out of Sanders hide. More dilution of AMD is enevitable. Also for the financing to happen investors must clearly see AMD ability to repay. there can be no doubt about AMD manufacturing capability going forward. AMD's yield problems are therefore a major impediment to AMD's future growth potential. Resignation of the CFO is not a minor issue. The new guy will have to have the refinance package in his hip pocket and Sanders will have to pay him dearly to get it done. Replacement from within is a sign of weakness and will indicate continued problems. Who was the smartass (stockmelt?) who suggested the chairman of DLJ resign from the AMD's Board. The current situation is exactly why the guy is there. He is now the defacto CFO. Stay tuned for further developments.
