Hard to find any reasons why the sector was up today. SEG had a very impressive session with good buying all day. Western Dig. seems comfortable holding the $16-$17 range even in the face of bad news coming from all fronts.

Microsoft came forward today after the close and had some positive comments about business. It was one of the first positive tech press releases I have seen in a couple of qtrs out of techland. Maybe it will pull the Naz higher on Wednesday.

Long WDC and SEG,
JM

Steve - if I may intuit your remark, sounds like you liking WDC. When do they announce and what's the "whisper."

Gracias...Peter

<<Low debt>> I guess technically it's not debt, but too bad they pissed away all their cash buying back shares and had to dilute the future earnings with the conv debt offering. I'm not so sure I'd call that great management foresight...

BTW, anyone notice that WDC's 2 largest suppliers have both announced "worse" than expected sales?
