Urlman,

Ha Ha! Now that is funny. In what capacity would you like him to
serve? We have a new CEO, Jim Lunney, who is more than qualified to
run the company. He is at the JavaOne Conference this week with Phil
Morettini and George Shaw who are representing Patriot. I think these
folks can handle all the technospeak that will be thrown their way,
don't you? You do remember Mr. Shaw of Shaw Labs? A more qualified individual probably doesn't exist in the entire industry. Now if Mr. Silvestri would like to serve on the BOD, I will be the first in line to vote him in. I doubt very much he would want to work for Patriot anyway because we couldn't afford to pay him much of a salary, he would be working for stock. Interesting thought though...

Urlman,

Silvestri is leaving Sun but I don't know where he's going to yet. This bloke is his replacement:

Number 3362 - 03/06/98
SUN LOSES SME BOSS AND JAVA VP

Sun Microsystems Inc has been hit with a double whammy of departures. Chet Silvestri is quitting as president of Sun Microelectronics and JavaSoft VP marketing's Dave Spenhoff has hung up his Java boots for the VP marketing job at file system and network backup company Veritas Software Corp. Silvestri will hang out for another few weeks to work with his replacement, Sun Micro Computer Co VP worldwide operations Mel Friedman, who will be running manufacturing and distribution as well as SME in the near-term. Spenhoff, said to be "done with Java," has already started at Veritas.

c ComputerWire Inc, 1997.

However, I'm sure Chet is well aware of the PSC1000 & so will his replacement be; it's not competitors PTSC needs to convince IMHO.

Nick

Urlman, just back in town - He would certainly bring PTSC a lot of valuable contacts and knowledge but this is the same guy who when asked about ShaBoom by EE Times a couple years ago said Stack architecture who cares it's been around forever - maybe he's out of touch ??? - G
