Do we really have any Velveets over here, Duncan? I think we are mostly Goudas and Bries and Very Sharp Cheddars. Well, maybe a few Swiss, whose logic is full of holes or something. And some surly types who say Feta You!! more frequently than is strictly necessary. But if Velveets are indeed an oppressed minority of some sort, it is absolutely immoral for any of us here to decide they are the wrong taste and color, and cast aspersions on their general character as well. And I am certainly hope you are not implying that you could drag a $100 bill through a trailer park and some of them would turn up, okay?

Their national anthem is sung in Esperanto? Whether you like it or not, then they are obviously an indigenous people closely related to the original culture of the New World, which had Spanish mother tongues of all variations forced on them while they were building the Catholic missions along the California coast. Many of them died of diseases they had no immunity against, and they were forced to give up their nature religions as well. They have been through so much, and we have made their lives hard and given them so little back, except despair, alcoholism, and minimum wage jobs. So only a true Satanist could reject the Velveets!!

Anyway, Duncan, perhaps we should sing some consciousness-raising chants, and songs of love and tolerance for the oppressed?

Viva Velveets!!

Vaya con Velveets!!

I'm Just a Poor, Wayfaring Velveet?

Hey, my head hurts from thinking of all this discordant stuff. Don't even get me started on the Philistines, because I am beginning to suffer from compassion fatigue!
