BEHOLD! IT IS TIME TO REVIEW TODAY'S RESULTS OF THE STOCK PICKING CONTEST.

Finally, the long awaited results are posted. You have all been very patient and I commend you for that. I took the little lady out to dinner this evening and she is quite satiated. It is a good thing I didn't dine yesterday evening as I am sure I would have been plastered by the davef supporters. Please be patient in the future as I assure you the competition is on the up and up. May the best mogul win!

There were several highlights today. You have all been very prolific, as usual. The most significant event of the day was really a non event. The silence of the Actrade supporters on the First Point Question speaks volumes. The small investor, humbly represented by Yours Truly, is waiting for the list of Actrade's top five TAD customers, their revenues for the last quarter and the total number of Tad customers. The importance of this information was highlighted by davef in a recent post to Nick Baklanoff where he said that the answers, "would clear the air and answer a lot of questions from skittish investors." Thank you davef for coming clean on the issue at hand. In the same post, davef also asked the poignant question, "If they don't have customers, where is all this money coming from?"

The Actrade long crew was leaderless today and it showed. Nobody has stepped up to the plate after the abdication of davef yesterday to assume command. In general, posts were either short and punchy or long and disjointed. Al Maguire has often stated, "When you cut off the head, the body dies." There was a hint in the air as a result of the davef to Nick Baklanoff post that davef may try to regain control of the troops. The longs would then be in consolidation as davef claims the stock price is in consolidation now. A courageous post of the top five TAD customers would most certainly put davef back in the saddle.

Also of note was the technical analysis of stan s., who pointed out a 13 1/4 buy signal noting that, "Monday engulfed Friday." This was posted before Tuesday engulfed Monday.

The post of the day goes to Paul Weiss for his summation in post #4316, congratulations Paul.

Much discussion was bantered around the Wall Street Journal statement that no analysts from major institutions were following Actrade. Davef challenged the Journal citing Zacks, which according to davef has one hell of a hot property in their report on Actrade. It is one of the companies they don't provide free information on, but is for sale for the right price by Zacks. Nobody could explain why Zacks, who sells their internet service to many online brokers, covers all the large caps and a boatload of small caps in these free to users services, would keep a select group of small cap ratings out of this service.

AHG, the pick of the amazing Mr. Pink opened up a huge lead today by essentially doing nothing. By the day's end, AHG had only dropped three tads. ACRT on the other hand gave up all of the gains from yesterday and a tad more. Stanley, the resident TA guy was heard to be projecting convergence a tad below the $11 mark.

davef - who's only known stock pick, ACRT, closed at 12 9/16. Davef, down but not out, recanted that the third straight week of fund increases reported in IBD is driving the stock price to new levels.

Mr. Pink's pick for the competition, the dog of His portfolio, AHG, closed down at 11 3/tads.
Mr. Pink, returned from the Eddie Awards. He remarked as he disembarked from his Lear jet that he was definitely concerned that Sam has moved his shares from his margin account to his cash account.

The winner for day 6 is Mr. Pink:

3/24/98 AHG 11 3/16 -3/16 down 1.65%
3/23/98 AHG 11 3/8 -1/16 down 0.55%
3/20/98 AHG 11 7/16 -3/16 down 1.61%
3/19/98 AHG 11 5/8 -1/8 down 1.06%
3/18/98 AHG 11 11/16 + 1/8 up 1.08%
3/17/98 AHG 11 9/16 unchanged

3/24/98 ACRT 12 9/16 -7/16 down 3.37%
3/23/98 ACRT 13 +3/8 up 2.97%
3/20/98 ACRT 12 5/8 -3/8 down 2.88%
3/19/98 ACRT 13 -3/8 down 2.80%
3/18/98 ACRT 13 3/8 + 1/16 up 0.47%
3/17/98 ACRT 13 5/16 -3/8 down 2.74%
