American BioMed has 32 employees but what I think you really want to know is something about the technological development and who is responsible for that development.

Four more versions of the company's bilumen catheters are due for FDA approval anytime now. Dr Samuel S Ahn has been directly responsible for guiding the company through this process. I spoke with Dr Ahn last week and was very impressed. Dr Ahn is on the surgical staff at the UCLA Medical Center. He is a member of the editorial board of The Journal of Vascular Surgery and has been widely published in this and many other medical journals:

Along with a complete line up of 100% silicone catheters the company has some exciting technology in development. The furthest along would be the OmniCath, an atherectomy device which is in phase II clinical testing. Medical devices often are approved after phase II testing if the FDA is impressed enough with the protocols and test results.

In all honesty I do not know how many actual engineers work for American BioMed. I'm not sure of what kinds of designs they may be working on to make use of the wealth of technology that is patented by the company but I do know this:

ABMI has patents covering a broader area of minimally invasive surgical applications than many medical companies in this field a hundred times larger.

I believe in American BioMed, Steve Rash and Dr Ahn and that alone makes me happy to hold this stock for a truly big gain no matter how long it takes.

Go ABMI!
