But Rod, as far as MS is concerned, Java is just a language. Hence they have produced one of the finest Java Language tools for Windows. And I expect that all the psuedo programmers in VB land will move enmasse to J++. BOttom line is MSFT will always have the best tools/languages for Windows, because they control the platform. This means that MSFT will continue to dominate the commodity-ware SW market. Bad news for all the $49 compiler vendors. I do not believe that the enterprise will be buying MSFT's story anytime soon, since the enterprise does not consist of much MSFT technology. Isn't it great that Borland is now a leading provider of "Premium-ware" enterprise-class OPEN tools!!
