I am just suggesting that COMS sells through distributors unlike CISCO. COMS chose to cut back on the outstanding inventory levels already shipped in prior quarters. This means that the sales declined this quarter because they were booked (stuffed) in prior quarters. Should look better going forward if COMS resumes selling into the channel. CISCO sells direct, therefore they do not have this problem (I am long CSCO). I am long some COMS, but at 32. I have successfully personally traded it twice on the long side in the 30's. I think it will do well over the next 12 months as the new products take hold. In addition, Asia will recover and be stronger than ever. Just look at the Latin American/Mexican debacle/crash of '94. Remember the Peso devaluation and the Chiappas Indian revolt? Things couldn't be worse right? Stocks down 50% and more. An investment in Telmex in the low 20's, down from 60+ levels would have been brilliant as it is now 57! It also pays a $1.70 dividend. This is a better return than any fund in the same time period! Still not back to where it was but if you bought then you would be very wealthy. I try to be an investor not a day or week trader, sometimes if I get my price I sell like with my prior COMS trades, but even then I held for more than a 6 months and a month respectively. This is the Silicon Investor and not the Silicon Day Trader. If an individual can get a 20-30% return with a diversified portfolio they should be happy. I want to tell one story. I built rather large positions in EMC several years ago at 20-21. Shortly after, the stock fell to 14 because their product transitions were not going smoothly (sound familiar?). Insiders sold as well (Tech insiders always sell). I bought some more. The stock then got back to 20-21 a full year later! Against objections from clients, I made them hold. To make a long story short, in 2 1/2 years the stock split 2 for 1 and is now 38 1/8! That is a gain from either 7 or 10 1/2 (split adjusted) to 38 1/8. If you think that the company has good technology and you are an investor, then these short term issues (Asia, inventory levels, product transitions) will be moot. You will make good returns by seeing them through. Networking will grow!!!! Bandwidth is woefully inadequate!!! Asia will be back!!!! Good luck to all tomorrow. Scott
