DCF, I believe that it was not an afterthought, but a plan that God only knew. Paul called it the mystery hid in Christ since before the worlds were made. As Bob has mentioned, I believe, Abram's faith was accounted for righteousness long before he was circumcised and called Abraham. We have to realize that God does not lie. He made these promises to David and his descendants because of the faith of the Fathers and the prophets. The Kingdom promises and the mystery of Grace, dispensationally are two different things on God's agenda. The second coming is a taking up again of His kingdom messages when Jesus began His ministry with His chosen people, the Jews. Please try to understand the differences. In Christ, James
