Peter: Just a thought on the second point of your last post.<<2. It's possible that Jon Normile got it wrong. Clearly, they MUST adhere to their original documentation as amended - and I have received no notice of amendment.

NO, it is not possible that Jon Normile got it wrong. If you call Datek and every single person in Datek will tell you that they charge 7% interest on short position. I have talk to at least a dozen people, including one of the manager in Portfolio dept., called Haris Ctorides. They all told me that they do charge 7% interest. Of course, the only reason I went through all these trouble is because they implemented this policy in my account.

As for your comment that you haven't received any notice of amendment. You are right, nobody receives it because they haven't even posted in their web site. One guy I talked to told me that it IS on their Web site, and I asked him to tell me the link. He went to look for himself, and then came back to tell me that they haven't done that yet. And they started to do this ever since last July, at least in my account.

Well. Enough for this. I guess small investors are always the ones to get screwed.

Good luck.
