Nancy, are you talking about whether God is appearing in Garland or Godland Texas? I am not familiar enough with this story to be able to tell if you are asking a serious question or making a really sweetly amusing pun, so please forgive me.

Thank you for your response to my post, incidentally. I guess all I can say is that I am very supportive of Jews, and think they got a horrendous deal, and I don't like hate of any kind. At the same time, it sounds to me like you may be getting news of what is going on in Israel that is somewhat slanted towards the Zionist position. Of course, I understand that stone throwing by children is not a good idea, but they certainly shouldn't be killed for it, for example.

I think a lot of Europeans who felt very guilty about the Holocaust but at the same time were very prejudiced against Jews wanted to get them out of Europe, and Palestine seemed like a good idea at the time, except that it was fully inhabited by people who had been there for a very, very long period. The Holy Land belongs to several religions in a historical sense, and really needs to be shared gracefully by all of them, I think. In the long run, seeming to solve one problem just caused another horrible one, and I wish for a day when people who set international policy will be able to see clearly that every action has a reaction, and be sure that they aren't creating more war and agony down the road for a different group of displaced victims.
