LAWRENCE, as for Mr. Ambrose, I know that he has many successful business interests besides waste management. He was a major contractor to General Motors during the construction of their Oshawa plant, he has a string of off-track betting locations in Ontario and he has contracts for waste disposal with many municipalities and ICI generators in Ontario. To me, the key point of interest is that he has composting operations and land spreading operations but he now finds TT technology to be preferred in many instances. I believe he has found the best solution as a combination of all three technologies in order to cover the wide range of waste streams from various types of generators. This confirms my thinking for the best combination in organic waste recycling:
(1) Compost leaf and yard waste in open windrows where it can be processed with less than 10% wet organics at $30 to $35 per ton;
(2) Landspread sludge where agricultural land is available nearby and total disposal costs do not exceed $45 per ton;
(3) Source separate all remaining wet organic residuals and direct them to a Thermo Master Plant.

Best regards,

Cliff Maki
