Pullin-GS, Re: " What did you expect? Intel to slide a big check under the table to the shareholders of Chips&tech without the SEC noticing? That's not a very good business practice.<VBG>"

No. I think what I expect is for Intel to LEGALLY slip a big check ON THE TABLE to INTELL share holders OR ENHANCE the value of their own stock instead of diluting it with stock splits every time it starts to rise rapidly. Isn't that what Buffet does? Berkshire-Hathaway stock is over 16,000 a share they NEVER split. That's not what I'm saying Intel should do. But Buffet thinks of VALUE when he looks at a company. So I think the way he treats his own stock's value is something to look at as a benchmark in what make a company's stock valuable.

I have read on this thread many times where Intel's PE is not on par with the rest of the tech stocks. And that the market doesn't give Intel the same valuations as a MSFT or AOL or KO etc. Well when I gave that some thought, I kinda figured it's not because of the investors in the market, or Tom Kurlack's lack of respect for Intel future prospects. It's because the company hasn't done enough to ENCHANCE the value of the own stock. Other companies (IBM) do things -outside of their main business- to ENCHANCE their stock VALUE.

The value of a stock or investment is not just how well a company is run or how great a product they have or even how much earnings potential they have. It's HOW MUCH VALUE OTHER PEOPLE (INVESTORS) think all those things are worth! And when alot of investors look into Intel they see alot of money laying around, alot of money in future potentials and a PARANOID leader surrounding the CASH!

INTEL SHOULD HAVE A HIGHER VALUATION. IT NEEDS A STRONG LEADER TO START THIS STRONGER OR HIGHER PE VALUE. THE COMPANY BOARD IS A GOOD PLACE TO START THIS. UNLESS THEY KNOW OF A REASON -ABOVE AND BEYOND THEIR FUTURE EARNINGS- THIS MONEY WILL BE NEEDED. I don't belive their is because their have be no disclosures of such. So I maintain the board is paranoid or being lead by a paranoid leader!
