I've been following the discussion on several threads regarding earnings being bad for tech stocks yet many of these stocks' share prices are on the rebound.

Permit me to make an observation. Does anyone remember last year about this time when many tech stocks were reporting exceptional earnings but share prices were being slammed the next day. I remember the same kind of comments "Doesn't anyone look at earnings any more?" Some stocks eventually recovered, others stayed flat through the summer until the big drop in tech stocks last fall.

Had we been listening last spring, we would have realized the market was telling us something. Tech stocks were running out of breath and, sure enough, took a beating a few months later. The market does indeed seem to be forward looking.

If we are listening now, I think the market is again telling us something. Things are looking fairly rosy for the future and that is what the market is telling us now. At least for the near term, I think we can expect the market to keep going up.

(JMO and all of the usual disclaimers)

Good luck to all!

Chris
