Thanx Dan and Big Dog, Oh yeah (hand strikes head). I actually forgot about the interest rates! It's all coming back to me now. Hummm, so maybe is was the nasty Democrats? ;-) Technology has made e&p much less expensive, with the 3-d seismic data and everything computerized. MIND used to be one of my darlins'. I would think that interest rates and cost of doing bidness made the real difference. Because this entire industry was shut down. That's how Webster started FLC, by buying up all of the old rigs. Just moved to CA at that time. Sure shoulda bought TX real estate back then! Thanx again guys, Challo
