John: the new highs list is a marching army of utilities stocks, little S&Ls, brokerages and pension-plan management houses, and some foreign stocks. There's really not that much else there. This is a trend that could go on for a long time....the action on the overvalued techs masks the real trend- it's the saga of where to put all that retirement money when there are not enough stocks and bonds.
