Chief, I have always enjoyed your posts and learned a lot from them. Can't figure out where some of you get your details on trades by the minute etc., but I am glad you share them with us neophytes. I know there's been a lot of banter the last two weeks about the true intentions of some people posting on this thread, both on the pro-Pyng and anti-Pyng sides. IMHO this thread is the electronic version of Speaker's Corner in Hyde Park, London, England. One reads whatever others have to say, whatever be their intent, as long as there is a certain civility and respect shown towards others. Let's not bicker any more. Somehow, when brokerage houses set up conference calls, make pronouncements to the newspapers, or write columns in them about one stock or another, the various exchanges say that's appropriate conduct and good for their business. The moment we humble wretches, yes the media's "ordinary people", think out loud on the Internet, then we are blamed for this or that, esp. by the VSE, and folks like Mr. Jacobs presumably get called on the carpet. This is our medium, our right and our priviledge to express our opinions. This thread and others should not NOW OR EVER come under the legal or moral jurisdiction of the VSE. Has the VSE or the TSE halted Ballard or the bank stocks or Nortel or Netscape etc.? Time we all stood up and told the different exchanges to shove off and leave us this opportunity to exchange ideas, even if they are not always palatable to everyone. No, I'm not a philosopher or a philosophy major. It just ticks me off that individual freedoms are continually being eroded and we don't do much about it. If necessary, I am prepared to lead a petition to the VSE and other exchanges to ensure the freedoms in these threads are preserved. Cheers and hope we all do well in this venture. And Chief, please keep us well informed as before. Thanks.
