Thanks for the response. As a U.S. citizen, e-trade Canada will or cannot open an account for me. I don't think Suretrade handles Canadian transactions. After you put on the charge for currency exchange fees, a few extra pennies/share for their third party market makers, etc. (that's each way!), the penny mining stocks (up to U.S. $5-6) that trade on the Canadian exchanges become very difficult to trade for a profit without a big move if your trading thousands of shares.

I appreciate your input and hope that perhaps someone can come forward with a solution... if there is one. Thanks again.
