Horrible experience with AmeriTrade Today! I tried to place an order for GMTID while it was 1 9/16. The order just couldn't go through. So I replaced the order this time using a market order. It was already at 2 1/2 at that time. A few minutes later, I assumed the order was filled. So I was ready to sell. I watched it went up to 3 and then 3 1/4. When it start to pull back, I tried to enter an order to sell it at 3. The order could never go through. Then I tried to cancel both order. Couldn't do that either. Finally, the phone went through (I was waiting on the phone while I was doing all these), the representative told me that the buy order was filled at 3 1/4. (It's still not showing up on order status screen as of now.) Incredible ! I guess I learned two things today: 1) next time I play with TokyoMexx, I will never use market order to buy or sell; 2) Don't use AmeriTrade --- any suggestion of a better online broker ? yongzhi
