Sub $1K is not top of the line, or even middle. The price range actually looks pretty good for MSRP at rollout. Street prices will take off at least 10 to 15% before August's end.

My worry is that the image did not show the pivot base that was installed on the 5500's.

Jobs CEO:

There is still a possibility that Steve'o will not accept the CEO position, even though he seems to be flirting with the idea. He is already wealthy enough for several top Exec's. He vacillates rather quickly when cornered. But, essentially it appears that he is not going to get what he wants, and that makes his acceptance all the more speculative. What he wants is to keep his finger in Apple while someone else takes the CEO post. Since that ain't gonna hapin', it comes down to take Apple or leave it.

I don't think he'll leave it, but Jobs was trying to set up Apple to have his influence from afar in the longer term.

We shall see. Hopefully this week.
