John, Before Hoeghst (spelling) and J&J, ALLP had received big money from another German pharmaceutical giant, BOERINHEIM (spelling is wrong) for the period 1989-92 or around that time. This company had bought ALLP shares for $11/share in 1989. They had the rights of the hypothetical drug called OXYGENT with the billion dollar market, and they funded ALLP's research. It took them some time to realize that there was no future but finally they walked away. The stock later hit $44 (I think it was in 1991) when some Canadian female analyst predicted $104/share by the end of 1994. In fact, this was said on the nightly business report on Channel 13 NYC. I used to live in NY back then, doing my PH.D., now I live in Europe. The next morning, the stock picked up $12. As I have mentioned, I have traded this stock at all levels. Highest price I have paid was $28, lowest $4.5. Biggest mistake I made was 6 years ago when during the biotech crash, I held ALLP over BGEN and I got killed. You see, the word was that OXYGENT was going to be approved that time!! Then it was the story with the contaminated surfactant. I guess many ALLP investors are looking for some oxygen right now to save them. IMO that these people are jokers. They cannot even get approval for IMAGENT which was supposed to be on the market in 1992. Now I heard they are working with some swellable gels and they advertize their potential (..year 3000). I guess they want to enter the controlled release area to find new suckers.
