The news on the first well to be drilled by CCX in Cuba is great. In an area of Cuba that has no production, the company has hit in a number of horizons (with production figures to come out after testing). CCX has a huge land position here and many other prospects have already been identified by seismic. Some of these other prospects are even bigger targets than this one. It looks like those who bought at .40 - 60 and expected $2.00 bid on the opening are not going to get it, but depending on the testing, this first, wildcat well could be worth a hell of a lot of money to CCX and guarantees that many more wells will be drilled by them in Cuba.
