this will make DLP projectors capable of decoding all 18 digital formats including HDTV in 1080i or 720p ... probably current models can be upgraded with a card... It is one of the improvements that will make this projector a big seller... basically you have digital transmission, and the DLP adds digital display no added noise to picture...no digital to analog conversion... This also levels the pricing field... HDTV sets with 60 inch display will be similarly priced...
