RE: Might he be the one who is reponsible for the quagmire that AMD
is in, yield-wise?

Yes, the CFO is responsible for yields. And I hear the janitor is running the marketing department.

Time to get clue, wouldn't you say mate? Chap? Old boy? Gent?

Reggie , re. CFO resigning
I do not know his reasons for leaving . The Intel crew will always put a bad spin on AMD's news ,it serves their interests .
This probably has been in the works for some time as the CFO just does not suddenly come up with a new job offer and accept on the spur of the moment . CFO of AMD is fairly high profile job maybe he is unwinding ready for retirement .
Whatever the reason it did not affect AMD's stock price much today . One reason being that the price today discounts a lot of bad news but does not factor in any real progress made in marketing K6 classic , development of K6 variations and yield improvements .
The news on monday of the release of K6-3D PCs from 2nd tier cos in may followed shortly afterwards by tier 1 PCs has not been factored into stock price IMO .
Of course one reason why this stock has not appreciated in anticipation has been the large amount of short selling (probably by Intel investors) . However with the december low at $17.125 and a large base of support in the $20-$22 area that short interest should make for a real lift off if AMD gives some official data on yield improvement ,
Brian
