I think CFO leaving is a good news.
The guy is old.
If you worry if there is anybody to take over; the guy that replaces him anyway was next in command and was doing the real work.

As a matter of fact he was COO.

So cheif operatig oficcer is taking over chief financial officer.

It looks like it should be. Operations and production was better than money handling?. Was not it.
So the guy that handled the money leaves the job and his position is taken by the guy that did show good results in producing good products.

It is CFO that is also involved in investor relations.

Since investors have been pissed off very much; the new guy cuoldn't do worse only better.

As far as technical part is concerned; AMD is a very good company;
otherwise they would never create real threat for INTEL.

So; my reading is: for investors it is good move and stock will go up.

Maxwell,

Re: "I thought AMD is still in the dog house and the rats are jumping ship."

AMD is still in the "dog house" ... and ... the "rats" are jumping ship.
The AMD K6-3D when announced will be in low, low volume and probably from
their SDC facility. Tell me Maxwell, why does AMD need "refrigeration" to
hit 400mhz. Are you going to tell me it's the "architecture thing" ?? <ggg>

Make It So,
Yousef
