Did Sigma announce its decoder last September? I don't think so. Sigma announced in September that its new board used a "new" decoder that was not identified as being a Sigma decoder. And they did not offer to sell the chip.... <<The Ventura board reduces size and cost by using a new single chip DVD/MPEG-2 decoder with an integrated PCI bus interface and implements all DVD navigation features in hardware including sub-picture and sub-titles with alpha blending. At a size of 6 x 3.3 inches, the Ventura board is one of the smallest boards on the market. >> It does look like the chip announced yesterday is the same one used in the board announced in September, though.
