>>>To my ear this sounds too much like Intuit and BOA against the world!

Sure does...I no longer think of that Bank as being stupid. They made their move to secure a channel...something the rest will now do on an increasing rate IMHO. BofA Shareholders should be jumping for joy!

>>>What right of initiation do you suppose another bank will have to go through in order to become "a participating financial institution"?

Pay a lot of Money...Bunches of Money....Mucho Bunches of Money!!

>>>If another bank chooses to play, will they be limited to offering the "Intuit/BOA defined product"?

I doubt it....but the 'button' link from the site is going to cost.

>>>Also, given that cf is not mentioned, it might be that BOA or someone else will be handling the presentment/payment processing.

I does say Intuit Technology & Presentment/Payment in the same paragraph. I'm sure they would take in bills from any presentor, it's the pay button I question...could be CKFR, CYCH, or MSFDC...but remember this was the guy looking for a silver bullet for Setag.

>>>this isn't likely to make the Chases, Nations, and Wells Fargo's of the world very happy!

It's not up to me to make them happy....

I've pissed and moaned about what I've seen as the log jam holding up this service from the start....and that is these Banks haven't stuck their services in the faces of all those eyeballs by way of a push 'button' access on a highly trafficed site. (I also see their Branch Cannibalism Issue).

But Hey....If cannibal is the game!

Do you want to be the Cannibal or the Food?!

Each Bank will now have to answer that question......
